Who we are
Daily Scope 24 is an independent briefing site. For privacy requests: email info@dailyscope24.com or use the Contact page. We do not publish a street address on this site; it is available on request where the law requires it.
What we collect
If you only read pages, our hosting provider (StackCP) may log standard server data such as IP address, browser type, date and time, and the pages requested. That is typical for any website.
If comments are enabled and you leave a comment, WordPress stores the name, email, and message you submit, plus the IP address and browser user-agent string used for spam checks. An anonymized hash of your email may be sent to Gravatar to see if you have a profile photo. Automattic’s policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Approved comments and avatars are public.
If you have a WordPress account, we store the details in your profile so you can log in. Password-reset emails may include the requesting IP address.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies, ads, analytics, and consent
We use cookies and similar technologies. Categories:
- Essential: security, hosting, remembering your cookie choice, and WordPress login if you have an account.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, loaded through Google Site Kit, to see which pages are used. Google may process identifiers under its own terms. This is not fully anonymous.
- Advertising: Google AdSense and Google’s advertising partners may use cookies and similar tech to serve ads, including personalized ads if you consent where the law requires it. Google’s explanation: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Consent: CookieYes stores your cookie and advertising choices and, in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, can pass those choices to Google through the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework and Google Consent Mode.
The site also loads a heading font from Google Fonts. That request can expose your IP address to Google.
Articles may embed content from other sites (charts, videos, official documents). Those third parties collect data as if you visited them directly.
You can accept, reject non-essential cookies, or change your mind with the CookieYes banner. You can also use browser controls, Google Ads Settings, aboutads.info, and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking all cookies may break login or the consent tool.

Legal bases (EEA / UK)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we use legitimate interests for security and server logs, and consent for non-essential analytics cookies and personalized ads. You can withdraw consent in CookieYes without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
How long we keep data
Host logs follow StackCP’s retention. Comments stay until you or we delete them. CookieYes keeps consent records as needed to show that a choice was made. Analytics retention follows the Google Analytics property settings in Site Kit.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, or object to certain processing. Use the Contact page. We may need to verify the request. We keep data we must keep for security, legal, or accounting reasons.
California and other U.S. state laws: we do not sell personal information. You can limit ad personalization through CookieYes and Google Ads Settings.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Third parties
Independent services process data under their own policies, including Google (AdSense, Analytics, Site Kit, Fonts), CookieYes, StackCP (hosting), and Automattic / Gravatar if comments use Gravatar.
